Zoo Pictures and the newest member of our family

This past week while Nick was in Orlando all week I took the boys to Kentucky to get some much needed spoiling from family. Our first stop was to my family, and we just had a good time playing outside and visiting. Our next stop was Grandmas, where we also just played and had a good time. We did manage a trip to the zoo and well that is the only place where I was able to get pictures, go figure!

While we were home Griffen turned five months old. The time is just going by so fast and he is changing everyday. He still has a mohawk, and a few more leg rolls but he is a sweet baby. He is starting to want more attention, he loves his food, and he laughs when you make funny noises. Barrett can get him going and he loves to watch Barrett which that sometime scares me I don't want Griffen picking up any bad habits too soon :)

As for Barrett he is liking school and learning new things. The potty training is going very slow but we have made some little progress. He is wanting to do Halloween every night so this year it should be fun to watch him.

Last but not least we have a new member of the family. Nick brought him home Friday night. That is right he finally got his new truck. It is a 2008 sliver ford f-150. I think Barrett loves it more, he can't wait to go in daddy's truck; I guess mommy's car is out of the loop.

Updates

It has been a couple of weeks since the last update so we thought we would put up some pictures. We have been really busy since labor day, with visiting family, trying to buy a truck and well just life. Griffen got to meet his Great-Great Grandparents in the past two weekends, we went to a fifty birthday party and a baby shower. I don't think our families ever slow down, but we did manage to get a few pictures. We are also getting ready for the fall and Halloween. The boys tried on some costumes that we had from last year and the first year Barrett was born. I am happy to say that we do not have to buy costumes this year! Hope everyone is enjoying the last days of summer.

Labor Day

They say labor day is for taking breaks and relaxing, some say its the last four day weekend of the summer, or family said it was time for a shrimp boil. My family came up for labor day weekend for some good ole eating. Saturday was the big night for the shrimp boil. We ate until we could eat no more and then we ate some brownies and key lime pie. On Sunday we cooked a big breakfast and then sat around too stuffed to move, I think I heard some snoring on the couch a couple of times. Then it was game time, we bought some chicken, heated up some left overs and cheered on our cats. The cats winning the big game was a perfect way to end the weekend.

The kids had a good time too I think. I really did not see them much, they were outside on the slip-n-slide or upstairs in Barrett's room. I do know that we had to bring them in a couple of times kicking and screaming to eat and to take a bath. However we did manage to get a picture of them together and of course bribery was involved

.

On Monday Nick and I decided that we would wash and wax our cars and Barrett decided that he would wash his tractor, so that is what we did. Also we got a picture of Griffin's first time in the high chair
