Pictures over the summer.

All is well in the Mudd household for now. A couple of us have been a little under the weather but never fear we are back to full force. School is going well for the boys, Barrett has his first field trip coming up and we (I) are very excited. Griffen is doing everything big brother does and when he can't he keeps going until he gets it done. He is starting to get better about being at school, and going other places without clinging onto my legs. It's a slow moving progress but we are making it.

I am keeping busy with the boys and my Moms Club. I forgot to mention that I am now Columbus Indiana Mom's Club President. We hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this fall weather! This is one of my favorite times of year

My sister came up in August and as brave as we are we took the kids to the Indiana State fair. It was a fun day and we have four tired kids and two worn out adults:)

Updates!!!

Wow I can not believe that summer is almost over. To me that is okay because I know that Nick will be home next summer to enjoy all the things that the boys and I got to do this summer! Speaking of Nick, he is doing well and working really hard. Well that is actually all he does seven days a week. As of right now he is will be getting his two week leave in early December and we can not wait! September the fifth will mark him being gone for six months, and we will have at least six more to go.
Barrett just had surgery #9! However this surgery was fast and Dr.Gupta did not have to a skin graft so we were able to take him home that morning. This surgery was to release his thumb and remove some more scar tissue. Dr.Gupta said that this should be the last surgery for at least another year. Oh let's hope!!! The next day Barrett was doing so well that Grandma and I took him to the state fair. You see my mom and dad had Griffen (Thanks mom and dad) and since Nick has been gone Barrett and I had not had the chance to spend some time together. So we took advantage of the moment. We had a blast! Also this week Barrett start Pre-K. Our little boy is growing up.

Griffen is sixteen months old and learning new things each day. He still has a head full of hair and he is expanding his vocabulary when he wants too. He loves to push his dump truck and he loves for someone to push him in it. This week he will be starting a mother's day out program at church, so I am hoping this all goes well. He has gotten a little too attached to me and I am hoping this is going to help in the transition of not hanging onto me when I go somewhere without him. All in all we are doing good. We are trucking along and wait for that part of the day when we get to talk to
Nick on Web cam.

A moms club outing

This past Friday our moms club hosted a cool outing for the kiddos. We were able to tour the local medical helicopter. We all gather at the first station by the airport and watched it fly in and land. It was a neat thing to see and all the kids were in awe as it was landing, I think that is the only time they stood still. We also got to tour the fire trucks and watch the helicopter take off. I know Barrett thought it was cool!

A princess and Mcqueen party.

So when they were two we had a cute Elmo and Cookie monster theme for them. At four we ended up doing a princess and McQueen theme. You guessed it was that time again where we celebrated Barrett and Anna turning 4 but going on 14! We had pizza, cupcakes and of course tons of fun. The weather cooperated and the kids got to swim and do the slip-n-slide. Oh where has the time gone!

The fourth of July weekend

We had a busy but fun Fourth Of July weekend. That Friday grandma and I took John Thomas, Barrett and Griffen to Dinosaur World in Cave city. I know the big boys loved it. They got to see the dinosaurs, do a bone dig and they even had a play ground. The next day we headed to Bloomfield for some food, fun and some good ole conversation. I was not disappointed. The kids had a wonderful time and I ate way too much as always and even though it rained it did not dampen the fun!

Nick's June Visit

Nick was able to get another visit home before he left the country, and we had just a wonderful visit. We were able to come back home this time and show daddy all the stuff that we have been doing. The last day we went back to Louisville to meet our new niece Jenny. We had a really good time and miss lots and can't wait for him to come home!

Our Baby Turns Four

Time has flown by and can you believe it Barrett is four! During the day I took him and his cousin John Thomas to Ceraland to swim and later that evening we ordered pizza and Aunt Jackie bought a cake for him. The party is later with his other cousin Anna so more Birthday pictures to follow.
