His surgery itself was the longest one yet. Barrett did very well in the pre-op area and he even let them take his blood pressure this time. The surgery lasted three hours and let me tell you even though it was the 8th one it does not get any better waiting in that waiting room. However after that three hours Dr. Gupta came out and said he did just fine and that he was able to get a lot done. Which bought us one night in the hospital, that was okay he got to do what he wanted to do. So Barrett is on the mend again and adjusting to his club. The only draw backs are is that he can not get into water, pool, and sandbox for about a month. When we told Barrett that he was not thrilled because those are his favorite outside things. I will try and keep everyone updated more often then what I have been. We hope everyone is enjoying this warm weather!

Nick's Visit and Barrett's Surgery
When we went to see Dr.Gupta in April he said he was ready to start on Barrett's hand again. When I told Nick this he said well if they can get it done before he leaves the states then he might be able to come home for it. So Dr. Gupta office and Kosair moved heaven and earth and got us in on the 29th of May. The army let Nick have a four day pass so it all worked out really well. The day before the surgery Nick got to come home so Barrett and I picked him up at the airport. Lets just say it was a good reunion Barrett would not let go of his daddy and was talking a mile a minute. When we he got to Griffen his little legs started to kick and he wanted daddy so all went well there. We had a good visit with Daddy I know we all needed it.
