This year we got to host Barrett's birthday at our home. We went with a Lighting McQueen theme and for those of you who know Barrett this was a wise choice. We fired up the grill, burned a few burgers and had a good time. We bought a slip -n- slide for the kids and that was all that they needed for the rest of the day, well beside the Popsicles. Barrett loved his McQueen cake and our child actually ate some of it. For those of you who know Barrett he has never eaten his cake before or any kind of cake so we hit a milestone! Now if we could just get him to use the potty!!
He got a lot of neat gifts which included his beloved McQueen Mack trucks, McQueen p.j's hot wheels, his green truck, a rocket and his picnic table. He loves them all and has played with everything all day long.
Next weekend we are going home for the holiday and should have some more pictures to post. We are looking forward to seeing our family and for some it has been too long since the last time. Oh and this week we take Barrett to Kosair to meet his new burn doctor, we haven't told Barrett yet, so maybe it will go over well!
